Oak and Acorn Palace
This is the Autumn Queen's palace and banquet hall, built into an absolutely colossal tree.
The Entry is guarded by a squad of Owlin guards, formed up in a rigid V that protects the entry. If the Autumn Queen is disposed to allow particular visitors to enter, they will be allowed to pass, but the guards insist on peace-bond ribbons on all weapons. Once characters step into the hollow of the tree, it's clear that it is much larger on the inside.
The Banquet Hall is a long hall with a single long banquet table laden with half-eaten food. It's clear that some guests have been and gone, but some guests still linger, perpetually in the last hours of a great feast, sated and languid, whispering and drinking sweet dessert wines. It's not possible to see the far end of the table, and walking in that direction feels like it's making progress until the visitors realize they're passing the same languid guests in slightly different configuration as they go.
The Salon of Fading Light is the queen's throne room and meeting space. It's here that she meets with all visitors, who are invited in at the queen's convenience. A massive stained glass window faces south across the domain of the Autumn Queen. The motif on the glass presents sunset at one end and twilight at the other, ranging from oranges and yellows to blues and purples.
The Harvest Cellars make up the lower levels of the palace and are a combination larder, root cellar, and wine cellar that seem to be endless. They connect to the kitchens, which are stacked with dirty pots, pans, and dishes. Guests who displease the queen are forced into perpetual work washing the endless mounds of dirty dishes until they collapse from exhaustion.
