Riedra
The Inspired are the rulers of the Unity of Riedra on the continent of Sarlona, and they appear to have designs on Khorvaire and Xen'drik as well. The Inspired, throughout most of their history, have been very xenophobic; even today, elves and dwarves are not welcome within the borders of the nation, although (like most xenophobes) the Unity has never been able to articulate exactly why.
Kalashtar unfortunate enough to be captured within Riedra are executed outright. Humans and, to a lesser extent, changelings make up the majority of the rank-and-file citizenry in the nation, but shifters and ogres have their place as well (although they are thought of as lesser beings in the hierarchy of the
Path of Inspiration).
The land of Riedra is vast and contains myriad climate zones and eco-systems. In the south are jungles including the Shanjueed, which straddles the border with Adar, while the north boasts stately pine forests, such as the Worm Wood. Great mountain ranges delineate the border between Riedra and the Tashana Tundra, specifically the Frostblade and Frostwall Mountains, which cut through Dor Maleer. In the southwest, the Andnemun Desert marks the fluid border with Syrkarn. The eastern shore is dotted with the islands of Ohr Kaluun, and there are even two inland seas, the Kelneluun and the much larger Rhialuun, which break up the drier lands to the west.
The armed forces of Riedra, the Harmonious Shield, are garrisoned across the nation and can be marshaled at a moment's notice.

They basically have the wealth and resources of the entire continent of Sarlona at their disposal.

Related Ethnicities
Riedra is pretty obviously analogous to and modeled after communist China (with nefarious, extra-dimensional aliens playing the part of the commies). Adar is Tibet (before Tibet had its own PR issues), and maybe Dar Qat in Xen'drik is a burgeoning Hong Kong. In Next, the Riedran accent and language is Russian. The Quori, however, speak a telepathic language that uses emotions and images more than words. As a consequence, the edicts and proclamations of the Inspired are often worded awkwardly and contain a lot of adjectives (eg "Delight citizens must sunshine submit to smile visits from devoted Guiding Path priesthood.")
