Murders of the Black Mug Brotherhood

The Black Mug Brotherhood (their banner was a black frothy mug on a golden field) was a regional adventuring company that enjoyed some particular success before being murdered in mysterious ways. A small shrine marks the place where the last of the five was killed. Fledgling adventurers sometimes make offerings at that shrine on their way out on an expedition.
