Session 11: Stuck In The Middle With You
General Summary
The party travels to Lower Northedge to visit the home of Natacha Glumdrink , Gwenlaven ir'Tain 's best friend. They speak with her mother first, then Natacha attempts to sneak out the window. Thanks to strong cooperation, Toox is ready, and after strong encouragement from Natacha's mother, she spills. Gwen has an aberrant dragonmark, causing her and others to teleport randomly when she is scared. Through a distant contact, Natacha reached out to House Tarkanan , who agreed to take Gwen in.
Gwen is hiding out at The Serpant's Hall , a neighborhood bar in Lower Northedge. The party heads there with Natacha, but find a group of City Watch already looking for her. Their leader, Dimia Commonbrook , seems quite capable.
After some discussion, Toox leaves the tavern, and then with Ripper 's assistance (in dog form), draw the attention of the Watch by shifting into Gwen's form. The Watch take the bait and give chase. After some careful work, Toox is able to lose them and double back to the tavern. Ripper shifts to standard form and also returns.
Ice, Celosia , and Natacha make their way into the basement where Gwen is hiding. While down there they meet Oliver Darkdraft , an agent for House Tarkanan. They explore the basement, eventually joined by Toox and Ripper, and find crate with a hidden entrance. Just as they do, however, an explosion announces the arrival of a group of heavily armed thugs. As the party prepares to face them, the door leading back to the tavern proper slams open. It sounds as if Dimia and her squadron are also on their way...
