Creating a Character

To make the process easier when creating a character, you should start with a concept and not worry about filling in a character sheet. Read the intro that follows, then answer the questions below.

Since the Day of Mourning, there have been countless expeditions attempting to traverse the Dead Grey Mists into the Mournland. Most have either not survived or simply returned beaten and bloodied. Sir Cedric Adrian Barnett hopes to buck that trend. He has begun organizing a group to help him penetrate the mists, establish a beachhead on the other side, and begin the research the Mourning's cause, as well as potentially find a way to reverse it. Along the way, wealthy patrons will certainly be looking to recover objects dear to them, or even learn the fate of family and friends. It won't be easy however, and that's where you come in. You've been hired on to be one of the first of the Barnett Expedition to breach the mists and start a camp on the other side. It certainly won't be easy, but the pay is right, and the potential prestige for this mission was too much to pass up.
