The Blood Harvest

The blood harvest occurred before the instigation of the second Hallowing War in 1723 CE. The Blood Harvest involved the kidnapping of children, virgins, and those of particularly religious standing. The goal of the harvest was to use these victims as blood sacrifices to resurrect the Wretched Queen, one of the great generals of the first Hallowing War. The use of hallowed blood such as that in children, virgins, and the devout provides a stronger connection with void and celestial magic, necessary to provide an ample conduit for Nebona's soul to return in a physical form, with some semblance of her former magical abilities intact.
