Wendigo Fever

Causes

Wendigo fever is caused by eating the meat of intelligent humanoids of one's own species.

Symptoms

  1. The victim begins to experience vivid terrifying nightmares which occur with increasing frequency over the course of a few weeks.
  2. The victim maintains an intense fever which begins to induce waking hallucinations resembling the victim's nightmares.
  3. Over a course of a few weeks, the victim begins to develop signs of albinism and increased visual sensitivity to light.
  4. The victim's body begins to consume itself, burning through stored fat, causing a perpetual hunger.
  5. Waking hallucinations and nightmares continue to become more frequent, leading to a chronic high-intensity adrenal output.
  6. The victim begins to experience a loss of pain reception.
  7. The victim's fear and hunger erode their empathic abilities.
  8. Hunger increases to a point where the victim begins to crave human flesh.

Treatment

There is no treatment for Wendigo Fever.
