Wendigo Fever
Causes
Wendigo fever is caused by eating the meat of intelligent humanoids of one's own species.
Symptoms
- The victim begins to experience vivid terrifying nightmares which occur with increasing frequency over the course of a few weeks.
- The victim maintains an intense fever which begins to induce waking hallucinations resembling the victim's nightmares.
- Over a course of a few weeks, the victim begins to develop signs of albinism and increased visual sensitivity to light.
- The victim's body begins to consume itself, burning through stored fat, causing a perpetual hunger.
- Waking hallucinations and nightmares continue to become more frequent, leading to a chronic high-intensity adrenal output.
- The victim begins to experience a loss of pain reception.
- The victim's fear and hunger erode their empathic abilities.
- Hunger increases to a point where the victim begins to crave human flesh.
