Cagnite

Cagnite, or Everfrost as some call it, is a semi-opaque white gemstone found in northern Egapesh. It is prized for its inherent magical property of slowing the movement of magical energy upon The Weave passing through its structure, allowing it to maintain frigid internal and external temperatures for months. They are commonly used to stop the decay of food over long periods, though they must be exposed to extreme cold to regain their usual temperature once it expires. Additionally, when Cagnite's internal temperature grows above -10 degrees Fahrenheit, it becomes exceptionally brittle and can easily shatter into many tiny pieces if not handled carefully. These small shards lose much of their ability to keep chilled, making them practically worthless.
