The war of Mantlemine was supposedly in the name of revenge for the death of Stendar Ruthen, but it was actually just a convenient reason to seize territory near the Montane Flat for mining purposes. The Ruthorians fought and completely wiped out the Montane hill giants in a crushing victory. (less than one year)
