Spaceships

Spaceships were invented during the latter half of the Industrial Revolution and made by the same engineer that goes on to make the SS Zenith. They were originally made for the military only but after some time they figured they could also be used by the general public and help with certain jobs. At first people were skeptical of them but they slowly started to accept them as something that could help.

Military Use

They have always been grounded on the planet and when the engineers began developing the spaceships there were new opportunities waiting for them. They originally used the ships to explore other planets before turning to using them to attack other species. This had long lasting consequences that bled onto their home planet.

Public Use

The engineers when designing the spaceships didn’t have public use in mind but after some consideration that changed. More jobs opened up and it opened up more opportunities in some jobs like the news, miners, and a few others. The idea of meeting and interacting other species also became a possibility since they never had anyone visit. On average around 2 million people use the ships every year for both recreation and jobs alike. It’s become very profitable for the companies.
A lot of people just don’t use the ships since they’re fine where they are and don’t want to have to deal with other species. Some are just afraid of meeting other species due to how other species perceive them.
