These unique animals are chosen due to their large body structure and on top of the food chain. Lessens the risk of other animals eating them while on the journey. These have been a source of transportation since 1377 DW.
Basic Information
They go someplace where its more warm to mate. The males are the ones that attract new mates by making a harmonious sound. Females are capable of this but only the males can do this. This music can be heard from 20-30 miles away and lasts up to 20 minutes.
These whales eat small fish and plankton. The most common food source is cod because its the most common fish in the ocean. It opens its mouth and sucks the water and food inside. Almost like a subdued mini black hole.
Wild whales like to migrate north for cold seasons and hunt during the warmer seasons. They love to go to the isles of gold, which is known for having temperatures up to 100 degrees.
Additional Information
Its used to transport messages, trades through seas and oceans. They get scared by some of the local sea life but manages to survive the journey. People put a large pouch on it and the things are wrapped in water proof plastic. Only the adults are chosen. The packages can take up to 24 hours to deliver. Whales can manage huge journeys up to 14,000 miles. Perfect for long deliveries across oceans.
When the delivery is done, Seapickers pick the cargo out of the pouch, delivers it and makes sure a whale has a nice rest before going back out to sea.
Training
When whales are 20 years old they are learned the touch of
Cédai and taught how to respect them. They make small deliveries and continue this til they are ready to make deliveries over 2000 miles.
In oceans and seas. Mainly in the thundering waters. They like to lurk deep underwater but that’s not the case with these whales.
What is the evolutionary significance of their pouch? Just wondering.
To keep the plastic from tearing by the pressure of the water. They used to have no pouch and the contents would sometimes not make it.
I guess I was under the impression that the whale had a pouch as a part of its body naturally. "It has a large pouch and the things ..." makes me think the whale actually has a pouch in it.
