Maia Plein, Hyperion Heights

The Maia Plein is the first of seven districts within the Heliod Calyx, the central tier of the city of Hyperion. It contains the city's main Sky Port and wharf, as well as a large number of commercial buildings suited to anyone who is visiting the city.

Districts

The Maia Plein is split into a number of wards that each have a different primary function. Some wards are exclusively used as residential wards, but most of the commercial wards also feature a number of residential buildings. Because the ward contains the city's main sky port, it also houses a large number of inns and taverns to house the city's visitors.
Kolumbos Oikos
A residential ward closest to the restricted centre of the disc.
Exoterikos Arcadia
A commercial ward filled with more conventional goods, such as mundane clothing, armour, weapons and the like.
Esoterikos Arcadia
A commercial ward that focuses on items that are more unusual and arcane in nature. You can find a variety of magic shops in this ward.
The Flamesteed Agora
An open-air marketplace with a number of pop-up and visiting merchants, as well as unusual street foods. This is a popular tourist destination at the heart of the district.
Emporos Oikos
A residential ward on the outer edges of the ward.
Khryos Pegasos Skyport
The central skyport for the entire city, this is where most people who visit arrive. It is a large terminal with multiple gates and a direct sky ferry link with Olympos, the city's seat of power.
Hyperion Limen Exousia
Roughly translated as the Hyperion Port Authority, the Limen Exousia is a sprawling sky dock where commercial sky ships and spelljammers will land. It has a number of facilities for repairing skyships, and many large scale factories and warehouses can be found here.

Architecture

As the Maia Plein was the first built, it has a lot of architecture that is similar to one another, and the city is not very keen to supply permits for alterations here. The mark of a highly successful business is that the owner has been able to afford a permit and has a unique store frontage.
