The Star Walker Lamasary

A monastery set high in the Nyro'dha Mountain Range of the Hyleian moon Samsarai, the Star Walker Lamasery is the home of the Kalashtar within Echospace. Whilst it is not the only place Kalashtar are found, it is a place of pilgrimage where those who wish to bond with the sacred dream spirits travel to.
The primary denizens of the Lamasary are the Kalashtar, but they are not its only inhabitants. Humans can also be found here, as they are devoted to the path of enlightment that the monks teach and desire to one day become Kalashtar. In addition to the human residents, many other species that follow the teachings can be found here, even though they are incapable of becoming Kalashtar themselves.
Beneath the monastery, within the rocks of the Nyro'dha mountains, is the Cloister of [name of ancient quori spirit that founded the monastery]. Here, a natural crystalline formation projects a field around the monastery's grounds that protects the area from scrying and teleportation magicks. As the spirit fled here from Dal Quor, it is believed that it created this formation itself, but the entire Kalashtar society benefits from its creation.
Thanks to its position in the mountains and its magical shielding, the Lamasary is a well-fortified position. Indeed, whilst the monks here seek enlightenment and divinity, and prefer the way of peace, they are not pacifists - there are many orders of capable warriors within their ranks that can defend any force that attempts to invade their sacred lands.
