Queen
A Queen is a female sovereign who rules a kingdom or an empire, either by hereditary right or by marriage to a king. In a monarchy, the queen may hold varying degrees of power depending on the system of governance—ranging from absolute authority in an absolute monarchy to a more symbolic or ceremonial role in a constitutional monarchy.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Sovereign Queen: If she is the reigning monarch (a Queen Regnant), she holds the same powers and responsibilities as a king, including governance, military leadership, and diplomatic duties.
Queen Consort: If she is married to a reigning king (a Queen Consort), her role is generally more ceremonial, focusing on public duties, charity work, and supporting the king’s reign.
Symbol of Unity: Regardless of her ruling capacity, a queen often serves as a figure of national unity and is involved in cultural and social initiatives.
