Shows
The shows are an ancient army that fought in bone mail armor. This was an elven and orcish army of Lin Lathenya They were given their names because when the marched their armor hit together making the sound of a distant rain shower. They used this to their advantage usually marching in or before storms so that an enemy wouldn't hear them coming.
Naming Traditions
Feminine names
The names would be chosen by the mother and were usually racial.
Masculine names
The names would be chosen by the mother and were usually racial.
Family names
The family names of show were the animal bone that they used as armor. For example if a family made their armor from a deer, their family name would be deer, doe, buck, stag, etc
Culture
Common Dress code
These were ancient people and usually didn't wear clothes besides armor.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
When a child was born it would be marked with the blood from his or her father. The mark represented the animal in which their family name was.
Coming of Age Rites
When a child became adult, they go out with their mother for the next three weeks killing enough of their family animal to make armor. If they don't get enough bones to make a good pair of armor, they are shunned and cannot go to war until their father dies and they can recover his armor.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Beauty was determined by success and strength. Males loved women that could hunt, cook, and bear children while females loved men that was strongest and could fight the best in war.
Gender Ideals
Females provided for the males by hunting and cooking. They wanted to be the best hunter they could be so they could get the best man they can get. Males went off and fought wars. They wanted to be the strongest and most ruthless on the battlefield.
Relationship Ideals
In a relationship they females took care of the house and kids if they had any. They'd hunt and cook for the returning soldiers. The males would go off to war to keep the camp safe and gain more territory and food.
