Akhard, God of Magic

Created by Moss A. (Discord: raccoons_in_trenchcoat)

Description personality and look

In his first moments, Akhard sought fit to change the world with magic, the ramifications of which can still be felt today. But ever since that brief spark of rapid change and development, he has been rather content. Watching how mortals interact with his invention is more than satisfying enough for him.

Him and his magic are reflections of the other gods, as he fondly looks upon all of them. There is creation and destruction in many spells, and despite all the laws of magic, there is still so much chaos to be found.

Common Practices

The very act of practicing magic is worshipping Akhard, whether or not a user of magic realizes this. Those that do oftentimes attempt feats of magic in his name as a proof of their devotion to him and his creation. Clerics who worship him go as far as to let him fuel their powers. No matter how one worships him, it is always seen as deeply personal and different for everybody.

Temples of Akhard also exist for a more formal form of worship. The process for building these temples includes a whole bunch of magic, the more the holier. Worship follows a typical sermon setup, with the most powerful user of magic often being selected to lead the congregation in worship as they are seen to have the closest connection to Akhard. Even so, these congregations are oftentimes filled with the leader asking openended questions, letting everyone come to their own conclusions, mirroring how personal the worshipping of Akhard is. These temples also happen to hoard many magic items, as they see these as holy items.

Lore

While magic sprung into the world in the moment Akhard came to be, to him it felt like an eternity. It was a physical process, weaving it into every fiber of reality, perfectly organized. But then it became impossible to manipulate. But if it was not woven in this way, it was prone to act far too unpredictably and ruin that which the other gods have already done. So he settled for a middle ground. Across the world, ley lines were woven into certain points of the world, and then all connected into a spider's web. These places of complete order and understanding of magic weave between chaos, clashing together into what magic is known as today. Since then, these ley lines have served as hubs for largescale transportation, with Mavros Co. trains traversing these pathways all across the continent. While these ley lines provide a comfy layer of predictability, there are still many aspects of magic that are unexplainable (see Vonia: The Demigods of Edari TLDR).
