The Century War

The Century War was a massively destructive military conflict that involved every major region in Edari. This history-altering war permanently debilitated the entire continent. So much so that after it was over, divine intervention was required to help repair the damages and repopulate countries. It lasted approximately one hundred years from 1900 to 2000.

Description

The war incited when an Ancient Suraakhi Empire was able to capture and exploit the powers of three Demi-gods called the Chaos Beasts. The Chaos Beasts consisted of the Ocean Demi-god, the Storm Demi-God, and the Trickery Demi-god. These captured Demi-gods were used as weapons of mass destruction and enabled Old Suraakh to create an age of conflict. Driven by ambition and the ideal of spreading prosperity, the Ancient Suraakhi Empire began its conquest on neighboring lands. Myrsin and some Djarthan monarchial powers swiftly joined the Suraakhi Empire as aggressors. Moratash and Adoloto were left as independent defenders against the aggressing armies. Two fronts formed; one on Moratash's and Adoloto's northern border with Myrsin and one on their southern border with Djartha.

Conclusion

After a century of destruction, the Gods of Garmu decided to step in. After being held responsible for the country she patroned and her Demi-Gods they had exploited, Eida unleashed her fury upon old Suraakh and destroyed the empire entirely. This allowed Myrsin to claim the spoils of the war and to invade Suraakh while it was vulnerable. Suraakh quickly surrendered land to Myrsin in order to avoid more casualties. Adyn could not see her creations be destroyed any longer. They interfered with their divine power which reformed and repopulated entire cities. The burden of reconstructing Edari was heavy. Adyn disappeared from the perception of their followers and has not been seen since.
