Bais, the Ice Cube.

Description

In contrast to their neighbor down south, Bais is an expansive barren landscape of ice. There is just ice and only ice for miles. If one looks at the country border, they are met with a large wall of dense ice. The only life reported here is the occasional yeti on the Edari side of the boarder. The few expeditions sent further in have reported only seeing ice for miles.

Lore

Bais was one of the first large civilizations on Garmu, dating back to 300~. The country prospered for a few generations before becoming more defiant. Some historians believed the Baisians thought themselves better than the gods. Others believe they turned onto each other and fought constantly. Either way, the gods deemed them unsaveable and needed to be punished for their action. To start over, the land was encased in a large layer of ice and has remained so.

To keep the other civilizations from joining them, the demigod of civilization, record keeping, and history, Galanthe, was created to guide them. Bais serves as a cautionary tale to other civilizations to not do anything to drastic or the gods will easily punish them. Luckily, Edari has not reach that point, even with the Century War. Most hope to keep it that way.
