Following the events of The Flood, those few who fled southward began to rebuild with the help of travelers and others wishing to set roots in the region. The river basin proved to be a habitable place, as people built homes, communities, and eventually founding the basics of Andyne. At this time their Theocratic Oligarchy was established as well as the building of a military power.
A faction of people from Striata, comprised of mostly Humans, Aarakocras, and Weretouched broke off of their roots and traveled southward towards the Adoloto border, where they attempted to build a new nation, one of action and decision. At the time Crucible had always been an island owned by their southward neighbor, and took their station as a threat to their wellbeing, and drove them away to the northern island of Acwencan, where the band plotted, and successfully infiltrated the island and overthrew the Adolotians claim to power, and rightfully claimed the island as their own, adopting the moniker of the island "Crucible."
By the arrival of the great war, Andyne was a fierce military power even without the immplementation of magic to their arsenal. During their campaign they set out to capture land from the neighbooring region of Moratash with their ally, an acient civlilization preceeding Surrakh. Their campaign was unconcluded, as Eida struck low Andyne's allies, allowing them to march on their now undefended land. The result of this is Myrsin's southward strech of land that reaches the Satu'Opu cove.
Following the great war, There was an outcry from veterans detesting the use of magic after having it used against them by Moratash. The Conclave saw it fit to properly and forcefully ban the practice of magic within their borders, and persecuting the masses who were caught publicly spellcasting. This was also the announcement of the offical religion being dubed as Involucratisim, as it has prevously been unnamed. Following this change protests broke out and some of the practicing magic wielders demanded change, which never came.
Following The Conclave's decision on spellcasting, Those who were branded to wield magic or keep being in confidence with someone who was were generally outcast and ostracized by their communities, creating places known as 'Gutter Cities' it it was cities made of "those thrown to the gutters”. Though oddly, many of these cities would be built in Anti-magic spheres inexplicably.
With the war long past and trading now resuming in some parts of the world, Andyne sought fit to properly start in earnest research into the ways of the world and how to utilize their limited resources properly. The culmination of this effort led to a myriad of things, including early Firearms, as well as a prototype city that was built higher instead of wider, with sprawling and dense interconnected paths across the many stories. It was to be called Arucia.
Those from Crucible originally, have since become acquainted with Andyne and have pressured The Conclave to focus their efforts from the ongoing issues of the arcane towards their lost ancestor's homeland, urging a campaign to retake the island as a eastwards keep. They obliged, sending a dispatchment of troops on Wayward Journey towards Crucible. On their journey the soldiers forcefully stopped at Gilia, who was not under Andyne rule. This discouraged them further from joining their forces, and have not to this day. After the battle of Reclamation, Andyne was victorious and was able to create a firm hold on the island, which now acts as their eastward hold, barring Adolotian entry from furthering north.
