Brewers, Distillers and Vintners Trust

The Brewers, Distillers and Vintners Trust is an artisanal guild in Averum. The guild is made up of beer and cider brewers, spirit distillers and vintners or winemakers.

Structure

The Drinkers Guild is more divided than is typical among most guilds and its members tend to stay within 3 different factions based on profession.

• The Brewers - This group includes owners and workers of beer, cider or mead breweries.
• The Distillers - This group includes owners and workers of gin, whisky, vodka and other spirit distilleries.
• The Vintners - This group includes owners and workers of vineyards or wineries.

The guild does not exist strictly along these lines, however it does act as an informal division among those producing alcohol in Averum.
The leader of the guild is referred to as 'Head of Drink.' The Head of Drink rarely continues their work as a brewer, distiller or vintner. This position comes with a much higher level of work in comparison to similar roles in other guilds. A large portion of the job is dedicated to solving issues caused amongst the guilds three factions.

Culture

Despite the guilds insular conflict, they remain extremely united when dealing with external issues. One particular threat to the guild is that of foreign producers of alcohol seeking to sell their goods to businesses in Averum. Typically the guild acts aggressively towards these kinds of threats, even going so far to advocate for restricting its import.
