Clanlord
Within dwarven society, a Clanlord is the leader of any given clan. While clans vary in general size; ranging from several hundred dwarves to no more than a handful, a Clanlord is always formally held to be the highest authority of the larger familial structure that is the dwarven view of clanhood.
Clanlords have historically held a high degree of control over their clan, being both their outward facing leaders and often in charge of internal management. Despite this, it remains uncommon for clanlords to consider any great deal of change or commitment regarding their clans without first considering the sensibilities of a clans important individuals first.
