Haporoya
The Kingdom of Haporoya is one of three states found on the Posuidete Archipelago. Once an intensely militaristic power far greater than their current size, they remain the only non giant-kin to have ever invaded the Darastrix Isles and succeeded. While the states small size limits its potential, it vastly outperforms that restriction; being the founding place of two monastic traditions, the home of an ancient bards college and the head of the Church of Selune.
History
Haporoya was one of the few states that grew to prominence during the Time of Absent Magic. They were the only Shoura that had ever placed an emphasis on betterment of ones body over arcane might, so the rapid decrease in magical energy experienced worldwide during that time provided the Shoura. The flood brought by the events that started the period lead to the geography seen today, and caused untold levels of destruction to peoples living on the Posuidete Archipelago at the time. Haporoya, whose emphasis on naval combat and martial prowess were in the perfect position to take over not just the archipelago they inhabited, but the outlying islands as well.
This culminated in an invasion onto the Darastrix Isle in 680 DC, which brought success, though a short lived success at that. They were shunted off the island of course, though succeeded in mortally wounding Delber, The Gentleheart in the process.
