Merchant Coast

The Merchant Coast is the strip of coastline running down the northeastern coastline of Kasetia, predominantly from the Bastian Strait down to the Wallid Wetlands. The name is derived from the frequency with which trading vessels travel along the coastline en route to Averum or into the Gulf of Berendnes.
The coastline has gone through periods of notoriety for the frequency in which pirates ply their trades along the waters, though that frequency declined severely after the Time of Absent Magic.
