Anyone who sees Morrison with his sleeves up at the very least can tell that the main stays trained and ready, with hard wrought muscles and a toning that implies constant, vigilant upkeep.
They also can note that there was a charity pin-up calendar during his later military years, and a lot of folks enjoyed the August picture.

Personal history

Jacob Morrison was born a year after Boncly achieved its independence. As such, he has grown up with it, and seen it turn into the prosperous land it is now. When he was 18, he began his work in the military, although by that time the Border Wars had been over for 7 years, but there was still lingering struggles and home defense to worry about. As he rose in the ranks for 7 years, he gained the respect and admiration of fellow soldiers and superiors for his dedication, unwavering mental fortitude, but also his sense of justice and morality. As such, when he was discharged following an explosive injury at the age of 25, he did so with honors. Desiring to still better his country, he threw himself into politics, quickly becoming an aide, then a Legislator, then a Mayor of his hometown of Buffalo. At the age of 35, he was sponsored by Mayor Booth of Wyatt in the running for Mayor of Ranger, and Governor of Boncly. Although nervous, this had been what Jacob had wanted for the past 10 years, and so he accepted. It was a hard fought victory, and his opponents weren't always playing fair, but in the end he got elected, and went to work making Boncly better. Mayors in Boncly, including Governors, stay on for a 6-year term, and can be re-elected once. As he won his re-election 4 years ago, Governor Jacob Morrison has two more years left in his running, and intends to leave Boncly in a state that his successor doesn't undo any of his legacy.

As he was born and raised before the Standard Boncly Education Act, Morrison mostly learned basics from his father, two mothers, and their relatives in the hometown. This gave him a wide perspective of practical knowledge, but only a rudimentary amount of book knowledge.

Jacob Morrison started as a farmhand for his family until the time came for him to join the local guard and the military as a whole, before becoming embroiled in politics.

Mental Trauma

Jacob has been very open, both in conversation and campaigning, that he had seen atrocities done to the poor folks in his hometown, both during the war and after, at the hands of the privileged elite. This has given him many a neuroses about excess spending, and a lack of patience for aristocrats. Many in the political sphere can also remember that Morrisons only "failure" of a campaign attempt was in a local mine shaft, where he got quite irritable and uncomfortable.
