Hippolyta (Hip-paul-it-uh)
Nestled at the south-easternmost edge of Edda's main continent, thick and flowing forests and tall mountains make up the country of Hippolyta. Known for its lush, nigh-untouched swaths of nature, as well as being the ancestral home of Elves of all types, Hippolyta is a long-lived and long-thriving nation where the customs and traditions are as settled and ingrained as the roots of the trees.
Structure
Queen Festivia Wistermire runs the country in totality, making the final call on all regional decisions. This is done with the aid of three most trusted advisors, known as The Trimvirate. Within the capital of Nike, which she also directly oversees, she also hears counsel from the Orators, those who speak on behalf of the various districts of the city.

Culture
The culture around Elves is one of worshiping and embracing nature, adapting their modern advancements into the weave of nature itself, and portraying all aspects of life as an art and practicing it as such.
Public Agenda
To advance nature and their Verdant Way.
Assets
Hippolyta has a wealth of lumber, vegetation, magical herbs, along with unique ores and stones mined from their mountains.
Demography and Population
Hippolytas population is mostly two races, Elves and their variations, and Orcs. The country has begun to be more diverse in recent years, but decades if not centuries of xenophobia, racism, and cultural oppression means that the Elves are the supreme race in Hippolyta. High Elves and Wood Elves are the most prominent, followed by Eladrin Elves and Dark Elves being less than privileged.
Territories
The lands of Hippolyta are ancient, tall forests full of thick and powerful trees, along with some scattered mountains that are just as tall. Traditionally, these lands belonged to Orcs and Elves alike, but eventually the Elven ancestors of Hippolyta found some way to push against the Orcs and subjugated them.
Military
The Military force of Hippolyta has always been a secretive unit. No one outside of their members knows the extent of their training and regime, but many see their golden and emerald standards and armor on the fields of battle.
There are many different military divisions for different operations, but the most well known for good and bad reasons are The Royal Bladesingers, a unit of elite knights and mages, who are known for historically engineering incidents to allow hostile takeovers of outside territory in the name of Hippolyta. Many hear rumors that, in light of The Border Wars keeping Hippolyta from stretching out, the Bladesingers are turning their efforts inwards.
Technological Level
While Hippolyta tends to shun most unnecessary technological advancements, the nation more than makes up for that with their magical advancements, although the occasional handy appliance will still make its way into the popular selection of household items.
Religion
The Elves of Hippolyta worship the God-Fae, mercurial forces of nature and natural laws that play and fool the mortals under them as much as they empower and adore them. Each God-Fae has their own domain within the realm of The Feywild, with each domain having 3 rulers in the form of The Arch-Fae. All fae creatures in Edda come from some combination of these entities powers.
Foreign Relations
Hippolyta has always had a shaky relationship with other countries due to their highly xenophobic tendencies and policies, but after the Border Wars they have begun to open in a newer light. Although this is mostly for monetary benefit,
Agriculture & Industry
Hippolytan Agriculture consists mostly of tree and vine based fruits and vegetables, with Lumber making a massive industry as well. There's also no small amount of craft work being done, and gemcrafting is a particular skills, as the rivers of Hippolyta are rich with minerals and gems.
Trade & Transport
Hippolyta mostly trades within its own borders, but what little does go to other countries is delivered via teleportation circles for efficiency and minimal contact, or through government-sponsored caravans.
Education
Due to the elongated lives of the many Elven races of Hippolyta, schooling is not what many other places consider standard. Hippolytans typically learn what they need from family, neighbors, or those who they wish to apprentice under for a certain task. Some higher learning institutions exist, but mainly for the sake of Magic Colleges, and those are relegated to large cities such as the capital of Eris.
Infrastructure
Hippolyta prides itself on natural based filtration systems, but that doesn't stop all but it's most secluded cities from having basic plumbing and road infrastructure, but many prefer the natural paths of the forests anyways.
