Safir, Sapphire Mother Dragon
The eldest of The Dragon Sisters, and the first properly on Edda. With capacities over The Earth, the act of Mining, and Storms itself, she's a powerful and frighting Dragon, who only wishes to lead her children to safety.
Some say she shows herself to her followers as a Tall and Elegant Moon Elf, shining as if a Jewel, and in a dress adorned with Sapphires. If she appears to a follower, she will test their resolve and their endurance.
As described in The Words of Safir, she came to be when the primordial Dragons, Kobber and Lede, laid several eggs. The first batch of these eggs would be the celestial bodies that hangs in the night sky of Arcanoterra, and the next 15 were the eggs of The Mother Dragons.
Safir hatched first, and once she hatched she found her egg to be submerged underground. Confused, she learned to tunnel and dig her way to the surface, and with each scratch of her claws she turned the ground in front of her to precious jewels and ores of all kinds.
When she got to the surface, she met the strange creatures on Arcanoterra, the Mortal Forms, clumps of mana piloting materials around, and came to learn much from these odd lifeforms about the importance of working as a unit towards a common goal, something she wished to share with her sisters once the inevitably hatched.
Divine Domains
Safir has power over all that shakes and quakes. This includes all of the earth, water, and sky, making her a literal force of nature. This also bleeds into her capacity as a Goddess of Mining Fortune, as it is said her tremors awaken new veins of gems and ores.
Holy Books & Codes
The Words of Safir are said to be the oldest texts for The Mother Dragons, found in the same temple that contained the mural of Heliotrop facing Smaragd. They detail the earlier stories of the faith, how each dragon came to be and how they found their place in the world.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Blue Dragon Scales are seen as holy for Safir, as are the gems named after her, Sapphires. Additionally, pickaxes are typically drawn alongside her sigils, as a show of the most practical application of her worship.
Tenets of Faith
The Generosity of Safir comes with the ideal of giving your all to your work (for minors), and giving ingredients so others can make finished products.
Her three main credos are such:
Make Tremors (Never be complacent), Dig On (Never give up), Unearth (Build yourself up).
Additionally, Clerics of Safir typically give themselves physical work-out routines to go along these lines of faith, so much so that it's become a tenet all of itself.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
The goals of Goddess Safir are merely to provide life to all of Edda, and enrich the life as well.
