Ally Tongue / Alliance Common

Ally Tongue is the basic, common language in Alliance territory.
It's a universally applicable, normative set of letters, words and contexts that is understood all across Alliance territory and widely successful beyond the nation's borders because it is relatively easy to learn and follows a simply standard set of universal rules. That standard is upheld by the vast bureaucratic apparatus behind the Alliance; the biggest unified nation & territory in the known world. Ally Tongue is the normative grammar and spelling in all official documents, signs and communication.
Alliance Common has brute-forced many dialects and other languages into adapting and integrating Alliance words and letters. Spoken by merchants, travelers and emigrants, even the Romans can't fail to see that it is a simple and pragmatic language with a limited alphabet and plain set of rules, which makes it perfectly fitted to accelerate bureaucratic and economic processes. It has been brute-forced on everyone who hails to the Alliance banner; no matter if annexed or allied.
It's the only language being taught at Alliance schools.
