Ferrin Kastilar

Ferrin is a small halfling, with a lean and wiry build that speaks to a life spent in close communion with nature. His skin is deeply tanned, and his hair is a wild tangle of curls that frame his solemn face. He wears simple clothing made from natural fibers, and his feet are bare to better connect with the earth.   Ferrin's demeanor is one of quiet melancholy, born from years of watching over the sea grove in the town of Saltmarsh. He takes his duties as a druid very seriously, and is deeply connected to the natural world around him. He is often lost in thought, contemplating the cycles of life and death that play out in the grove.   Ferrin's closest companion is his familiar, a large bullfrog named Lorys. The two share a deep bond, and Ferrin relies on Lorys to help him maintain the delicate balance of the sea grove. Despite his introspective nature, Ferrin is not afraid to defend the grove and its inhabitants from those who would harm it. He is a skilled fighter when the need arises, but always seeks to resolve conflicts through peaceful means first.    Ferrin always keeps an eye out for rumors of aberrations in the wild. He also has contacts with the elves of the Corval Forest, and they send word to him if a monster escapes that forest and heads in the direction of Saltmarsh. If news of an aberration reaches him, he hires adventurers to stalk and kill the creature.
