Personal history
Early life: Lorna was born to relative comfort in Kasinthenel. Her father was a tradesman who owned a number of ships and her mother was a lesser member of the nobility. When Lorna was very young her father was killed when pirates raided one of his ships. Since then she was raised by her mother, Jana, and remains very close to her to this day.
Fame: Lorna joined the rangers guild as soon as she was old enough, however she was always more of an academic. She travelled the land studying flora and fauna, as well as the myriad cultures she encountered. Everything she learned on her journey she wrote down and brought to the Queen of Kasinthenel and was handsomely rewarded for it.
Romance & Tragedy: While on her travels Lorna met and fell in love with a human woman named Meredith and the two of them became companions. This went on for forty years until Meredith became too old. Desperate to save her lover, Lorna bought a potion which she was told would make the human woman immortal. Instead, the potion transformed Meredith into a horrible undead creature. Horrified by what she had done, Lorna gave up adventuring, quit the rangers guild, and withdrew into the forest. The only contact she maintains with the outside world are the letters she exchanges with her mother.
