Personal history
Raised by one of the most well respected samurai in the land, from a very young age it was obvious the this boy was not only gifted, but likely on the path to the position of shogun. His first battle, at the young age of forty, solidified that and he took the heads of 27 goblins, 5 bugbears, and the orc leading the opposing charge. He was paraded as a hero from then on, winning many battles against the goblinoids, almost all of which he had high kill counts in. One particularly interesting part of his career was the battle he decided to use flanking tactics and distract the enemy with a small squadron approaching directly. This was the biggest success of his career and secured him the position of shogun one year later, in 9987AC. He has been leading his military well ever since, and has been secretly funding the development of firearms since the day he was inducted. In 1050AC he declared himself rightful ruler at the empire and has been doing small skirmishes with the emperor ever since, planning to take the empire within the decade.
Education
Personal tutoring in the ways of a samurai from his father, as well as many lessons and combat bouts with other well reputed samurai. Additionally, he was tutored by a former assistant of the last emperor and taught with the highest expectations in mind.

Since his forties he has been employed as a samurai, at first taking the position of soldier but quickly making his way up the ranks, all the way to shogun when he was 116. He remains there today.
