Aegnor Cinnadral, Scion of War
Aegnor Cinnadral is the Scion of War. Also known as the Great General or the Grand Tactician, Aegnor is said to have been key to Enmensur's victory of Dranlegoritha.
Among the first High Elves to be freed during the Shattering, Aegnor seemed to have a preternatural talent for battle tactics and strategy. Already old before the sacrifice of the Nameless Martyr, he quickly rose through the ranks of the Brisingelion's armies and within a decade found himself the highest ranking Soulborn general of the deities' forces.
Known to be stoic and seemingly impervious to distraction, he was a master of not only the battlefield itself, but also the philosophy of warfare itself. He had a deep understanding that most battles were won or lost before a single soldier took the field. Trade manipulation, diplomacy, supply route disruption, political espionage, and even strategic assassination were all tools he deftly applied to the practice of war. Loved by those under his command and respected even by the deities, he never faltered or backed down in the face of overwhelming odds.
In addition to being perhaps the greatest military leader of the later half of the War of Souls, Aegnor was also a prolific writer, poet, and philosopher. He wrote much of his victories, but even more so of his defeats. Even into the Age of Kings, thousands of years after his apotheosis, his many treatises on war and the soldier, are still universally studied by military leaders across the continent.
When he passed, at the final battle of the War of Souls, Nimriel herself took the general's body into the heavens. Considered by many to be the greatest hero of that war, he is honored and respected by most civilized cultures - though begrudgingly by the progenic kingdoms. When he appears, it is in the form of tall high-elf wearing white and crimson mail with a longsword at his side and a shield with a rose on his back. His eyes are that of an eagle, and it is said that nothing escapes his notice.
His blessing is one of inspiration to win a battle. Whether it be on a battlefield, within a royal court, or simply the best way to win a bar room brawl. He has a soft spot for underdogs. His wrath often goes unnoticed by those who have angered him. Instead, he simply gives insight to their enemies on the best way to crush them.
