Chathi of Phonteh, Scion of Lust
Chathi is the Scion of Lust. She died and passed into legend in 1303 AS when she was publicly executed by Gardain Lutgehr, a Vorgarian Warlord charged with conquering the city-state of Phonteh.
Born and raised among the genasi of Phonteh, a small sovereignty south of current day Horhiskali, Chathi was renowned for her otherworldly beauty and raw sexuality - so much so that her father insisted that she join a local monastery dedicated to the worship of the goddess Oolene. He feared that she could never be satisfied with a single man and thus would bring shame to their family should she ever wed - he was right.
At the monastery, Chathi became a quite skilled monk, mastering the ancient martial arts of the Oolese order, but never truly mastering herself and her urges. Her emotions always in flux, she maintained her discipline of the body and mind for many days at a time, then suddenly would lose control and indulge in her basest desires. She was known throughout Phonteh as the sensual monk who would leave her mountain retreat from time to time and give herself to as many men and women as she could before once again retreating to the monastery. She saw sex and the pursuit of these partners as little more than another challenge along her path to transcendence.
When Phonteh was assaulted by the forces of the burgeoning Vorgarian Empire, it was Chathi who infiltrated the camp of Warlord Gardain Lutgehr and seduced him. It is rumored that she engaged him in sexual congress for three days without resting before he discovered that her seduction was a ruse to give the people of Phonteh enough time to evacuate the city-state. He had her stripped naked in the central square of the now-vacant Phonteh, where she was slowly flayed to death over three days as punishment for her treachery.
Chathi appears to the beautiful and the horrid alike, answering the prayers of all those who desire pleasure and release from the stresses of life. She is also known to be fiercely protective of sex workers and has, in the past, visited such terrible punishments on those who abuse them that their bodies were permanently rendered broken and capable of experiencing pleasure. Her divine form appears differently to everyone who sees her, embodying whatever form they most desire. She wears only strips of red silk that barely cover her naked body and seems to drift in ephemera as she walks. Her voice is said to be light and whispery, carried on the air to gently brush against skin like the warm breath of a lover.
