Sinsinar Fiddlepitch, Scion of Discord
Sinsinar Fiddlepitch was the Scion of Discord. In life, Fiddlepitch was a cunning and ruthless envoy of the Vorgarian Empire. Though not of noble blood and thus unable to attain royal rank due to his gnomish ancestry, Fiddlepitch was nevertheless regarded very highly by the Vorgarian elite. It was said that his keen ability to undermine foreign kingdoms was only matched by his horrifying lack of scruples. For Sinsinar, there was no greater joy than turning brother against brother, turning friends to enemies - and the Vorgarian Empire was more than happy to use his talents to their advantage.
It is said that he served as an ambassador to the Principality of Lothlarast, and there managed to plant the seeds of such paranoia and fear that the entire court devolved into poisonings and bloodshed. It was a coup for the Vorgarian Empire, as they marched into the principality and annexed it with little resistance, but unfortunately for Sinsinar, he was unable to escape a mire of his own making. He died a writhing, painful death after accidentally drinking from a wine glass meant for one of the young heirs to the principality - though they said he cackled madly until his last breath.
In what would later be recognized as a dire mistake, Manem rose Fiddlepitch up as the Scion of Discord. The once-gnome reveled in his newfound role and power, sowing disharmony and disunity in all things and in all peoples. Sadly, true to his nature, Scion Sinsinar eventually betrayed the Brisingelion itself by allying with a Great Old One from the Far Realms in an effort to unmake the physical plane. His plan was stopped and he was destroyed by a combined effort of heroes led by the Scion of Civilization who sadly, was killed in the final confrontation.
As for Fiddlepitch, there is conflicting information. Some say that he was cast out of Edras and into the Far Realms, to be feasted upon by the elder things he parlayed with. Others believe that he was unmade by Manem, his divine essence reclaimed by the deity. Lastly, some believe that Manem keeps him on display in Sanctum, forever drowning in agony inside of magical cage of glass, as a warning to Scions who might betray the Brisingelion.
Due to the tragic tale of the Scion of Discord, the Fiddlepitch gnomish clan changed its name to Sorrowheart out of shame.
