Wolf's Den
Wolf’s Den is a large town of around 3,200 people that sprang up in the early days of Dorwine around a Library of Oros that was built into the side of a rock face; it has never grown much beyond that size, despite having been around for nearly 300 years. The closest town of a similar size is the coastal town of Blackrock to the south-east.
- Ember Eyes’ Hidden Sanctum is in the Upside Down beneath the mountains outside of Wolf’s Den in Dorwine.
- The Library of Oros in Wolf’s Den is overseen by a cowardly halfling cleric of Oros named Mahon Proudmoss. Now middle-aged, he was once an adventurer that traveled with a human named Trayna Selevarun. Rumor says that he even went to Isill once, though since then has refused to leave the library for fear of Isillian retribution. That was nearly fifty years ago.
- The Upside Down is accessed through a crevasse in a tall rock face above the Library of Oros that is hidden by an illusion of flat stone; the back of the crevasse leads to an old staircase carved into the stone and marked with Seldruin scripts
- The path descends about a mile and a half down until the gravity flips and it drops into a cavern filled with luminous golden mold and slime
- The sanctum itself is a horrific demonstration of the depths a demonologist can sink to. It is filled with books bound in questionable leather, walking cauldrons filled with vile concoctions, hanging skeletons (most of them picked over with a random assortment of bones missing), raven cages with skeletons in them, all clustered together in a corner hanging from the ceiling, a veritable treasure horde of drugs to spike towns’ water supplies, reagents for casting the known worst spells, candles burning in the open jaws of skulls, casting eyeholes of light on the grisly display above.
