Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Heimlich is a well built, 6'5" Spy. He is very physically active and healthy from ten years of traveling and hunting vampires.

Facial Features

Heimlich has a rough face. He never naturally smiles and thus appears very intimidating at a glance. He has long, shoulder-length, black hair and a black beard when shaving isn't an option.

Identifying Characteristics

Heimlich has a large, vertical scar across his left eye as a result of a vampire attack. His eye was also lost in the encounter and he has a realistic glass eye in place of it. The glass eye is hardly noticeable at a distance.

Apparel & Accessories

Coming from a noble family, Heimlich always tries to wear clean, fashionable clothing, especially when around strangers. This, of course, is not always possible when hunting the undead, but he tries his best to keep his clothes nice.

Personal history

Heimlich was born to a noble family in Spy Town. Growing up he had always admired the city guards as well as the Imperial Spy Army. Once of age, he quickly became a member of the Black Guard and joined the fight against the Ninjas.
Heimlich's true calling came once the Black Guard's focus turned away from the Ninjas and to the growing threat that was the Reaper. Heimlich found true passion in fighting against the Reaper and his armies of undead. Upon the defeat of the Reaper, Heimlich decided to leave the Black Guard and hunt down undead across all of Maji, in a attempt to vanquish all remaining followers of the Reaper and spread the praises of Jaxum.
Eventually, his hunt led him to Structzeno, which had been experiencing a boom in vampire numbers since the Sacred Era. The vampires of Structzeno were much more powerful than anything Heimlich had faced before, most originally being powerful light elven mages. Eventually, Heimlich entered a battle he could not win and was seemingly left for dead in the depths of Inkrend Ruins.

Education

Coming from a noble spy family, Heimlich is very well educated. He knows a great deal over history, especially the history of the Imperial Spy Empire. He also knows a bit about physical sciences, including magic.

Employment

In his early years, Heimlich served as a member the Black Guard in their fight against the Ninjas, and later the Reaper. For the past ten years, Heimlich has worked for no one. Instead, he has been on a personal quest to vanquish undead across Maji.
Although he no longer belongs to the Black Guard, he still considers himself loyal to them and the empire.

Failures & Embarrassments

Heimlich was never very vocal about his intent to rid Maji of undead, so to all his family and friends, it seems like he had just abandoned them. This isn't helped by the fact that traveling constantly means that Heimlich has little news from back home and has been in the dark on the happenings of the empire for these past ten years.
Heimlich does not know what awaits him back him with his family, but he can't imagine it is good. The idea of banishment lingers in his mind.

Mental Trauma

Fighting undead for ten years undoubtedly has resulted in some mental trauma. Heimlich likely suffers from PTSD, but the symptoms of which have not yet surfaced.

Morality & Philosophy

Heimlich primarily worships Jaxum for his position against the undead. He secondarily worships Kis to empower his life-based, healing magic.
Heimlich believes that the undead are a curse upon the world and do not belong, especially after the defeat of the Reaper and death of Tiilaer. He will do whatever he can to vanquish this threat from Maji. As such, he cannot stand with necromancers or followers of the Undead Pantheon and may act irrational or violent around them.

Motivation

Heimlich is primarily motivated by three things: his hatred for the Reaper and the undead, his loyalty to the empire, and his will to protect innocent people. As a follower of Jaxum, it wouldn't take much for him to convince Heimlich to carry out his mission, if that were to happen.

Likes & Dislikes

Heimlich is very content with his life. He does not complain if he doesn't like something and will usually choose to just deal with it. There are some things he does avoid, however. He biggest pet peeve is unkemptness; he hates being dirty or appearing dirty and he does not like associating with people he deems dirty.

Vices & Personality flaws

Heimlich can seem cold sometimes; he doesn't care much about opinions of others, especially if he already has formed an opposing opinion on the topic. Because of this, he can be stubborn sometimes.

Contacts & Relations

Since taking up a personal mission to hunt undead, Heimlich has lost all connections with people he used to know. He hails from a large and wealthy family in Spy Town which could be used as possible contacts, if they decide to accept him back into the family.

Former member of the Black Guard who, after aiding in the efforts against the Reaper, dedicated his life to the exterminating of undead threats across Maji.

Known Languages

As a Spy, Heimlich naturally speaks the common language of the empire. Through his work with the Black Guard he also picked up words and phrases in many languages found within the Dragonlands, but isn't fluent in any of them.
His mission as a vampire hunter had him spend a lot of time in the Elven Islands, where the common language isn't spoken. As such, Heimlich was forced to learn Elvish, especially since outsiders aren't very well respected if they don't speak the language.
