History of Magiearth - Ch. 1 - Races of Magiearth
To fully understand the history of Magiearth, you have to understand the races of Magiearth. Magiearth has many races; this chapter will cover most of them.
All of the races of Magiearth are put into larger groups called race types. The six race types are Elven, Dwarven, Giant, Undead, Beast, and Immortal race types. Each race type is divided into closely related races. For example, the Dwarven race type is split into Snowmen, Sandsmen, Funniguys, Dwarves, and more.
Let's start with the Elven race type. The Elven races are some of the most mysterious races. They love keeping secrets and are very smart. Elves are usually racist and greedy. Because of this, and their love of keeping secrets, their knowledge is not easily spread to other races, making them some of the most advanced races. The Elven race type includes Light Elves, Black Elves, Forest Elves, Tinymen, Sky Elves, and Orcs.
First are the Light Elves. Light Elves are the most advanced of all the Elves. They mostly live on the cold, isolated islands of Structuro and Structzeno. Light Elves are extremely talented at using magic. They have an average height of seven through eight feet. Light Elves usually have white or pale, yellow skin, alongside white or blonde hair.
Next are the Black Elves. Long ago, Black Elves came to be when Light Elves turned corrupted do to magical radiation or over-use of magic, creating a new race, the Black Elves. Do to the Black Elves corruption, they have been cursed with scaly, dark grey or pitch black skin. They live on eastern side of Torlos.
Now, the brethren of the Black Elves, the Forest Elves. They live alongside the Black Elves on the island of Torlos. Unlike Black Elves, Forest Elves prefer the jungles of West Torlos rather than the meadows of East Torlos. They build their homes in the trees. Forest Elves have brown or orange skin and brown hair.
Next are the Fairies. They are more commonly called Tinymen by the other races due to their short height; they stand only one foot tall! They are also one of the two races with wings. Tinymen have light brown skin and brown, green, or orange hair. Tinymen live on the southern Sizern Islands in the Tinos kingdom.
Next are the Sky Elves; they are also commonly referred to as Angels by most races. They are the second race with wings. They tend to live in mountainous provinces or the floating islands of Kis' Kingdom. They stand five through six feet tall and have light yellow or white skin. Their hair is golden, blonde, or white. Most of them only worship Kis', the Sandsmian Anti-Goddess of life and energy.
Finally, the Orcs. Orcs are created when a Light Elf turns evil. They are deformed, and have slimy green or grey skin and no hair.
Now the Dwarven races. There are four Dwarven races from the Magiearth Era to the Sacred Era; these are the Sandsmen, Snowmen, Funniguys, and Darklords. Dwarves are short, all of them standing under five feet. They are also able to survive in the harshest conditions. Dwarves are also strong and powerful fighters; they are the perfect warriors for any army.
Let's start with the Sandsmen. They are great leaders and lead one of the most powerful empires, the Middal Empire. They worship the four Sandsmian deities; this includes Jax' Middal, Vah' Poran, Ikoalaa, and Atnonut. They take residence in deserts. They are great miners and warriors, maybe even the best of all the races. They are about three through four feet tall, have yellow, orange, tan, or brown, rough, bumpy skin, and orange, blonde, or brown hair.
Next are the Snowmen. Unlike the Sandsmen, Snowmen like cold areas, such as, the arctic, the Antarctic, tundras, taigas, and high mountains. Snowmen are about three through four feet tall, have smooth, pale skin, and white, grey, or light blonde hair and huge beards. Snowmen tend to stay out of war.
Now the Funniguys. The Funniguys were the first people to settle Gaberiel's Sea and Calosia. Funniguys are four through five feet tall, have light green, purple, or blue hair, and light blue or green skin. Funniguys have an abnormally large underbite.
Lastly, the Darklords. They are a tribal race that lives in the caverns of Magiearth. They make sharp tools out of rocks and metals found in their caves. They will also create traps to catch food. They are hostile towards any other race that explore their caves.
Now the Giant race type. This race type includes Giants, Spies, and Trolls. Giants are strange races and each race is very different from the other races within the race type. There is one thing they all have in common, their height. They range from six feet tall to thirty-six feet tall!
Let's start with the Giants. The name might confuse you; we are not talking about the entire race type! The Giants are the largest mortal race. They stand from twenty-eight through thirty-six feet tall! They make huge castles and forts in their kingdom. Giant's Mane is one of the largest cities on Magiearth. Giants usually have short brown, black, red, or blonde hair and tan or brown skin.
Next are the Spies. The Spies are the most advanced race. They have huge cannons, plasma launchers, and Titans to guard their cities. Spies also are great blacksmiths. Spy Copper armor and weapons are used all over Magiearth. Some of the most famous weapons and armor created by Spy blacksmiths includes the Knight's Sword, the legendary Spy Sword, and the Power Gauntlet. Spies also invented the Titan; they are huge steam and magic powered robots that can freeze, incinerate, or just plain crush their foes. Spies are tall, standing at six through eight feet tall. They have pale or tan skin and black or blonde hair. Unlike most races, Spies don't follow any religion; instead they try to figure out how and why using science. They are also the leaders of the Imperial Spy Empire or Spy Empire for short.
Lastly are Trolls. They were originally thought to be part of the Beast race type, but were found to be closely related to the Giants. There are three sub-species of Troll; Snow Trolls, Desert Trolls, and Jungle Trolls. Each have adapted to live in their environments. Trolls, in general, are a tribal race that try to make very little contact with other races.
The first type of Troll is the Snow Troll. Snow Trolls live in cold areas. Because of this, Snow Trolls have adapted a thick fur coat all over their bodies. Their fur is white or grey and their skin is black. They stand eight through nine feet tall.
Next are the Desert Trolls. Desert Trolls live in Eastern Plite's Desert and Drydesia, where it is hot and dry. Desert Trolls are bald and have no fur. They have rough, bulky skin. Their skin is tan or orange and they are six through seven feet tall.
The last type of Troll is the Jungle Troll. Jungle Trolls live in large forested areas. They have brown and green, stripy fur; they use it as camouflage while swinging through the trees. They have brown skin and are the shortest of the Trolls, standing only at five through six feet tall.
Next are the Undead races. This race type is the strangest race type; they are the only created when other races are turned evil or are brought back from the dead in a certain way. There are tons and tons of different Undead races, so we are only going to go over the most important ones.
First are the Ogra, or Demons. Ogra live in the dark, fiery dimension known as the Faerii Place. The Ogra follow the Fiir religion, which states that the king of Faerii, Tiilaer, is the only god. Because of this, Tiilaer is, and always will be, the king of Faerii. Ogra are nine through ten feet tall, are bald, and have dark green, blood red, grey, or black, glowing, scaly skin.
Next are the Vampires. Vampires are any race that have been revived, but cannot stay alive without feasting on the flesh and blood of other magical races. Vampires usually live in small groups of Undead in abandoned ruins. Only a few Vampiric kingdoms have ever sprung up. Vampires vary in height, have pale, grey, or pink skin and black hair.
Now, the Ghosts. Ghosts are created when a magical person dies but their magic remains. Because of this, Ghosts don't have a size, skin color, or hair color, because they're just pure energy. The only way to "kill" a Ghost is to absorb them in a gem or some other object good for storing magic in.
Lastly are Zombies and Skeletons. Even though they are two different races, they are extremely similar. Zombies and Skeletons are created when someone resurrects a dead body using magic. They are usually created for a certain purpose and die once that purpose is completed.
Now, the Beast races. There are a few unimportant Beast races, so we are only going over the important ones. Beast races are any race type that is not humanoid. Because of this, Beast races have almost nothing in common with one another.
First are the Apes. Much like the Jungle Trolls, Apes have evolved to swing through the trees. Instead of building cities, Apes live in the ruins of ancient civilizations. The most famous of these being the Great Dam. There are three different sub-species of Ape; the Chimps, the Simians, and the Gorillas. The Chimps are the smartest and most human-like, while the Gorillas are dumb and are the most animal-like. The Simians are somewhere in between. Chimps are five through six feet tall, the Simians are three through four feet tall, and the Gorillas are seven through eight feet tall. They all have brown or black fur, and black, brown, or grey skin.
Lastly are the Slimes. Slimes are the natives of Magiearth. After the magical races arrived, the Slimes moved into the sewers of large cities. Slimes are invertebrates, which means they have no bones, they grow until they die, so they can be any size. They have blue or green bodies and no hair.
Lastly, are the Immortal races, which includes Gods/Goddesses and Anti-Gods/Anti-Goddesses. There are three main religions, the Sandsmian religion, the Angian religion, and the Fiir religion. All three of these religions are based off the Sandsmian religion and mostly share the same history.
The four Sandsmian deities are Jax' Middal, Atnonut, Ikoalaa, and Vah' Poran. There are two Sandsmian Anti-Gods; Kis' and Tiilaer.
Jax' Middal is the God of power and land, Atnonut is the God of space, time, the sky, and the mind, Ikoalaa is the God of the weather and frost, Vah' Poran is the God of water and the oceans, Kis' is the Anti-God of life and energy, and Tiilaer is the Anti-God of fire, heat, and the Undead.
