Solid Nitrogen

Solid Nitrogen is a sentient nitrogen-based being born from within the Eternal Cold and awoken by Nazi weapon testing nearby. He would later become a founding member of the Pnictogens.

Appearance

Solid Nitrogen has the appearance of a blank man with no features. He is very obviously made of solid nitrogen. He is very mannequin-like in appearance.
Solid Nitrogen wears an all-black vest and an all-black fedora.

Personality and Motives

In New York, he is known as a very laid back and easygoing person. He keeps up with all of the latest trends and is very cool. Solid Nitrogen's main weakness is nitrogen fixation and the bacteria that cause it, so Solid Nitrogen is known as a germophobe.
He sees his goal as protecting all life and the Earth itself. He will attempt to stop anyone or anything that threatens life or the Earth.

Abilities

Solid Nitrogen is a being made from unfreezing solid nitrogen, thus all of his abilities either revolve around his nitrogen composure or his extreme cold temperature.

Unchanging Temperature

Due to Solid Nitrogen's birth from within the Eternal Cold, his temperature is unchanging. Solid Nitrogen does not have to worry about melting or evaporating regardless of the temperature of the environment around him. He can also use his extreme cold temperature to freeze and shatter his enemies.
The actual temperature of Solid Nitrogen is the closest to absolute zero.

Regeneration

If needed, Solid Nitrogen can pull nitrogen from the environment around him to regenerate. This ability does not work if there is no nitrogen to pull from.

Teleportation

Solid Nitrogen can teleport great distances through the atmosphere or the vacuum of space by disintegrating his body and rebuilding it with available nitrogen elsewhere.

Pnictogen Zap

As a member of the Pnictogens, Solid Nitrogen is able to perform a powerful electric zap when close to the other members of the Pnictogens.

History

Solid Nitrogen was born from within the Eternal Cold, a liquid nitrogen pool of unchanging temperature located in the farthest reaches of Antarctica. In 1941, during the midst of WWII, Solid Nitrogen was awoken from the Eternal Cold by Nazi weapon testing nearby. He proceeded to wipe out the entire Nazi team located in Antarctica for disturbing the Earth and his own sleep. The time between Solid Nitrogen's birth and awakening is unknown.
After being awoken, Solid Nitrogen began studying and eventually adopted the human lifestyle in New York. Not long after, Solid Nitrogen learned of the villain, Goldmember, who was attempting to extract all of the Earth's gold using a specially created satellite-magnet for his own economic and personal gain. Solid Nitrogen began his mission to stop Goldmember which concluded with a battle across space and on the surface of the sun.
A few years passed of Solid Nitrogen living peacefully in New York, before he learned of a new threat to Earth. In 1945, Solid Nitrogen was approached by Phosfoe, a former weapon of the Imperial Japanese Army, who had classified information on a new weapon created by the Nazis. The weapon was the Carbon Copier, a being with the abilities of all carbon-based lifeforms and more. The creation was dubbed, "Hitler's Last Stand," by the Nazis and was the last chance they had as they were losing WWII.
In an attempt to stop the Carbon Copier before it could be unleashed on the world, Solid Nitrogen and Phosfoe formed the Pnictogens and sought out looking for more individuals who could help stop the Carbon Copier. They headed to the ruined lab of Prof. Mark Bisman and Dr. Rudol Urnam to awaken and recruit the slumbering Prof. Bisman into the Pnictogens. When they arrived, they discovered that Prof. Bisman had already been awoken by the Nazis and was facing off against Arsenia, another being created by the Nazis. Solid Nitrogen and Phosfoe used their combined ability to produce a powerful electric zap to electrocute and kill Arsenia before she could defeat Prof. Bisman. After explaining the situation to the professor, he decided to join the Pnictogens on their mission.
After discovering the location of the Carbon Copier, Solid Nitrogen and the Pnictogens fought him. Realizing that he is nearly invincible, they combined all of their energy into one final zap, sending him into orbit where Solid Nitrogen was able to teleport and knock him into the Eternal Cold, where he was forever frozen.
After defeating the Carbon Copier, Solid Nitrogen returned to his life in New York. His whereabouts after the abandonment of Earth are unknown.
