Dukes of Ravenshold
There are four rulers that control the underground beneath Ravenshold. These four demons are fighting each other and the surface world to supreme control of Ravenshold.
There is a legend stating, once one demon holds supreme control over the elven Homeland, the demon will ascend into the Pantheon and become a god to rival O'hl.
As long as the four Dukes and Duchesses fight over control, no single one can take over.
Duke Geneshai
A elder demon from The Incessantly Sublime Court on layer 294, Geneshai is a demon of desolation and betrayal. He is a fallen angel from the upper planes, after killing his two brothers, he fell to the Abyss and was punished. As some point before the breaking of Ravenshold, he was summoned to Edus and let loose on the elves. Geneshai is seen as a twenty foot tall humanoid demon with a rams head with no eyes. he is often seen swinging his brother's halos around like golden rings. and will often use the halos as weapons to punish.
Geneshai has multiple Generals and soldiers that continue to fight for their demon lord. His most trusted General is Narashi Vox, a torture demon with a female appearance. Narashi is a strong supporter of her liege And she take particular joy in eviscerating wayward demons for the other royals. He also relies on a trio of demons known as "the Dark Pact". The Dark Pact silently float down tunnels, summoning demons to fight invaders to their leader's lands.
At this time, Geneshai controls the west section of the woods and Ravenshold. He has an uneasy alliance with Dutchess Ballosomne' far to the East.
Dutchess Ballosomne'
Born from the Library of Gresil, the 267th layer, Dutchess Ballosomne' is rumored to be a daughter of Gresil itself. Born in silence of the Library, Dutchess Ballosomne' took pleasure as a Absence and despair demon, making visitors lost in the endless stacks of books and shelves. Dutchess Ballosomne' was summoned to Edus to help win a war for the elves. She never left and caused most of both sides to commit suicide or leave and walk off into the woods, filled with despair.
Dutchess Ballosomne' Has a strange cadre of demons she plucked from her father's library and surrounding layers of the abyss. she has 4 Generals active in the under halls of Ravenshold. General Vyorkkas handles the troops and hunting the borders. General Oberon is her emissary and Scion. General Fyrenteesta torments the prisoners and embarks on spy missions, while General Karaushyk Keeps to ballosomne's side, as her advisor and conduit to the Abyss.
Dutchess Ballosomne' controls the eastern Portion of Ravenshold and the woods above. She has an alliance with Geneshai, but secretly wants to use him to have her hands clean when they strike Horrindilugg's holdings.
Duke Horrindilugg
Standing a massive thirty feet tall, with massive dual horns that spit off into spikes. His skeletal bone goat head is filled with yellow hot flame. A balor that was prized, and awarded with logics and thinking, Duke Horrindilugg led legions of demons during the Blood War. Avernus is where Duke Horrindilugg called his home, attacking demons and devils alike with his armies.
During a breach on the planar gate, Duke Horrindilugg forced his way into the astral,and floated, wandering from settlement to settlement until he was summoned by a hapless human wizard in Cragmaw Keep. Soon Duke Horrindilugg found himself walking Edus away from a burning Cragmaw. Duke Horrindilugg found himself in Ravenshold and took residence in the North section of Ravenshold.
Duke Horrindilugg has multiple Generals and often kills those who fail him. he has three he keeps around; Alamirya the winged fallen angel, Kleth-Voisitro, General of Avernus, Kaakash, demon of pain.
The Wandering One:
Known only as "The Wandering One", the Time demon named as Otovhaz-Rulen'ka. He was a sleeping demon who was vuried and imprisoned into the ground before the elves even put foot in the woods of the Brambledeep.
The Wandering One was freed when the other demons arrived into the town and the calamity freed the demon from his prison. The Wandering One is a greater demon beyond the current classification of demons in the Abyss. Once freed, his demonic vassals gathered to him and began to rebuild his territory.
Once he found he was freed, and he saw the collection of lesser demons gathered around him, he walked off.. disappearing into the Brambledeep just as his Generals asked him of their orders. With him gone from the battle, his demons took up his mantle, fighting with no leader save the Generals barking orders.
General Xxztickzic sits as steward on the Wandering one's throne, giving orders for his master. The other Generals defer to his wisdom. General Tey-rezik is a winged Blood demon who controls the hordes of lesser demons in the war. General Leurf-dy-iir is the judge and punisher of those who go against the word of the Wandering One.
