Piersdorf
Eastern lakeside town.
Overview:
Piersdorf is a bustling lakeside town on the eastern middle edge of Icecrown Lake. It is known for fishing and crawfish export. When city dwellers cannot stand the confines of the capitol, most come to Piersdorf first, to get a lay of the land. A vacation spot for many nobles and land barons, Piersdorf offers both the upper crust as well as the everyman, a place to stay in their level of comfort and coin. Piersdorf is a large collection of approximately 250 buildings with over 200 families calling this place home.
Location:
Piersdorf sits almost center in the nation of Gothmyr. It resides on the Eastern shore of Icecrown Lake, just south of the East River. It is three day's travel south of Vodton.
Leadership:
Piersdorf is run by a Governor. Current Governor is Reginald Dumas III. He was appointed by the Prince-King seven winters ago, after the previous Governess passed away. Governor Dumas III Is a smiling, portly man of sixty winters with graying black slicked back hair and wears a wig of powdered white when seen outside. He is liked well enough by the people of Piersdorf as he hasn't been in power long to have anyone truly judge his leadership. Dumas relies heavily on his two assistants, Julia Gregorr and Master Harkin Voss. Julia is head of administrative duties, and Master Voss is in charge of town security and town well being. Voss is head of the Reeves, and works with any and all guards who arrive protecting nobility or persons of note. Governor Dumas is seen when a noble or even the crown comes to Piersdorf, or in times of festivals. He loves the credit and will take the attention from anyone upstaging him. Otherwise, the day-to-day decisions fall to his two assistants.
