Ruins of the GoldBright Kingdom

  Overview:
Deep under the Southern tip of the Strandfell Mountains, miles deep in the Deepdark sits the disquieting ruins of the ancient dwarrven kingdom of the GoldBright clan. The city ruins spans over four square miles, and takes up two of the slumbering Volcanic cavities under the southern peaks.

History:
In the middle of the Age of Bestowment, The GoldBright clan of sixty warriors, Forgelighters and Hearthguards trekked out of the mountains and delved deep into the first few layers of the Deepdark. They fought their way past orc tribes, goblin warrens, and even a massive town of Dark Elves, finding a huge volcanic cavern. The fortress of GoldBright was erected shortly in the years after it. Arun GoldBright became first king of Fortress GoldBright and his dwarven clan gre to number in the hundreds.
Shortly after the three hundred anniversary celebration of their founding, the fortress was attacked by an army of Drow and illithid. the GoldBright city was razed and partially fell into the cavernous volcanic cavity. once all remaining dwarves and gnomish allies were enslaved, the city was abandoned and left to ruin.
The ruins were occupied by orcs, troglodyte clans and even undead. The goblins run between the factions, trying to also survive.
