The Court of I'Dex

The Court of I'Dex is a religious following dedicated to the goddess I'Dex, who is the goddess of law, nobility, and culture. Her followers believe in upholding the principles of law and order and promoting cultural exchange and understanding.

Structure

The Court are organized into sects, who's size depends greatly on two factors. The first is the density of the population they are given to preside over, the second is the size of the faithful they are to tend to. The Grand Justice oversees the entire faith and under them are the Justices, each is given a tract of land, usually a country to oversee and report only to the Grand Justice. Finally are the Investigators, these are usually given a populace or town to oversee and report to the Justices.

Public Agenda

The Court of I'Dex is a predominantly trusted group, most seeing them as working for the betterment of society, no matter what society they are currently in and as such makes it easier to administer their agenda of upholding the laws  of I'Dex. If an Investigator is given jurisdiction over a town, most people a re happy and willing to accept their rulings on matters of law, being that they are seen as an impartial individual.

Tenets of Faith

The faithful of I'Dex, goddess of law, nobility, and culture, believe in a strict code of behaviour and ethical conduct as laid out in the Tome of Laws. They believe that law, order, and cultural tradition are the foundations of civilization, and that they are the key to ensuring stability, prosperity, and progress.

For the faithful, law is the backbone of society, and they believe that it is the duty of rulers to enforce the law and uphold justice. They believe that all people, regardless of their social status, should be subject to the same laws and should be treated equally before the law.
