Rûn'ath'iqua
The city of the first elves. Rûn'ath'iqua was the city that was founded by the first elvess under Corellon's guidance when elves were first created. during The Founding. In time, these elves were taught the ways of passing to Arvandor, the realm where elves can live in immortality. The plane of Arvandor was created in the first moment an elf was, the divine facet to Corellon's power. Rûn'ath'iqua became the mother city to Ätherisch'ber, where elves took on their first mortal students, humans, to teach them the ways of arcane magic Corellon once taught them. The Age of Arcanum only came about due to Rûn'ath'iqua's inclination to share the knowledge of the arcane.
When the Calamity occured, Elves of the city fled were urged to flee to Arvandor by Corellon. The city fled to the where they sailed their longboats downstream to the ocean, completing the rites known to humans then as the Duskstream, then to Arvandor.
After the erection of the Divine Gate, many elves returned to the Material Plane to find their city conquered by followers of Lolth, once emboldened by their Queenss pressence. The 159 year siege was their first major conquest with no direct aid from their patron god Corellon. By the time the reclamation of their ancestral home had finished, a settlement had established a decent population on the river outlet to sea from the elven lake. The population of settlers had a number of mills, irrigation and dams that meant the elves couldn't complete the original journey but could detour to the ocean. The trip to Arvandor does not necessarily require the original route but it is the recorded method that Corellon taught to his first children. The ruler of this time let this slight pass, these new creatures of the land will move on in time, this has yet to happen.
