Arch Protector Erich Klaust is the current ruler of the Protectorate of Kolwidg, having been selected some twenty years ago after the last rulers death. He is an aging man now and conspirators work in the shadows around him, preparing to take his place once he dies. His steely hair matches his temper, actively deciding not to involve himself in the politics that got him elected. Rather he spends much of his time trying to maintain a kingdom on the edge of war, both civil and otherwise. Reports of strange happenings abound and dark forces lie in the shadows of the mountains, waiting for the opportune time to strike. After so many years this old man is ready to be rid of it all and leave it to someone else.
