History

The Lycans were a wonder born from the mind and heart of Alena. Though she was always torn between them and their brother race, Lyrans. For the first parts of their lives, they found a love for the hunt and to focus on the favored skills.
When the Lyran, Thruzlern, took over the pride the tension between the two beasts races met with full force. Called the Great Beast War, it was a long and bloody conflict. It is unsure as to which side started the bloodshed, but the alpha of the Lycans, Zdeněk, often said he did it and was proud to have started the war. The Great Beast War raged for years, till the death of both leaders at each other’s hands. A treaty was drawn up between the two beast races and a border line established. The Lyrans took the lands in the north and the Lycans took the lands to the south. In the buffer zone, there is a little bit of mixing of the two races. While the Lycans were split into 6 packs, making a council of alphas, and leader pair of alphas, they are tasked with governing things like war, food, hunting rite, etc.
The empire had an easy job of “taming” the hounds of war. Using them as scouts and night missions to remove problem areas. When the revolt happened they were more inclined to avoid the fall of the empire, feeling as if they were being used rather than valued. Now that the world is somewhat settled they live their lives as they see fit, waiting for the day the treaty breaks.

The Fjorn, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Dracovians, and Lamia are not seen as hostile but they aren't necessarily friendly. They lack any trust when dealing with Humans for the trespasses of the Empire of old. Lyrans, on the other hand, while there is a tentative peace but that could be broken at the drop of a hat. What little dealings with the Drassi they have done they are rather hospitable. And like most the Ezana are more than welcomed, while understanding the Ezana are like their cousins the humans, they have been welcomed due to the fact they help move trade goods around the kingdoms. The Falkovians are not known to them.
