Eisa
There was a time when Terra was filled with magical beings and creatures of all shapes, sizes, and persuasions. Their presence fills Terran folklore and forms the backbones of what the Arcanils (non-magic people) tell their children to encourage them to behave. Upon the rise of the Church, and the crusade against the magical people and beings that don't fit the teachings of its Holy Book, a council was gathered to determine what to do.
Two sects formed out of this Council.
One would remain as guardians of the magical, because Terra remains far more magical than it likes to believe. This sect foresaw the need to provide guidance and direction to those who came after them, whether sending them to Eisa because there was no way they could blend with the Aranils who'd taken over, or training them to join their ranks. They call themselves the Arcana.
The other would step out of the world into the one they had accidentally created by the means of fast-travel. Over the centuries, these methods formed islands of population density powered by Sources of elemental power. This power was formed out of and refueled by the interaction with the magic they'd fed into it over time. They call themselves the Eisans.
When they stepped out of the world, Eisans left doors open for the curious to find. Do you dare to walk through and see what's on the other side?
