Dragonborn

Dragonborn are imposing, hardworking humanoids with many draconic characteristics, including scaly hides, breath weapons, and sharp teeth and claws. Their breath weapons correspond to their scale color, as with true dragons, with the outstanding exception of some brass dragonborn, which may exhibit the relatively common mutation of breathing not poison, but fire.

Naming Traditions

Dragonborn take draconic names and place their clan names first as a mark of honor. Childhood nicknames are a very common practice.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Dragonborn have their own dialects of Draconic which are SOMEHOW—don't ask me HOW—mutually intelligible with what dragons have spoken for thousands of years.

History

Dragonborn trace their lineage back to the Age of the Meydra. It is unknown exactly how they came to be—whether they were created by draconic gods or somehow came about as offspring of the dragons themselves. They are thought to have originated in what is now the Talazichian kingdom of Bhren.
