The Sustainers of Structure

The Sustainers of Structure were a large Vundkragi adventuring party that rose in 989 in response to the beginning of the War of the Storm. The group was entirely dwarven at the time of its founding, though it was joined by a few humans later in its existence.
The group generally hired themselves out on a case-by-case basis but remained in total control of their own contracts. They began with the sister duo Mordana and Ezryd Cursebringer of Xam, who picked up various like-minded allies along their journeys. They were extremely conscientious in staying inside the law and keeping legitimate authority apprised of their actions, sometimes maintaining some discretion when there was fear of interference by the Creed Under the Coming and Eternal Storm, but always explaining themselves afterwards. They were generally well-respected, even receiving a commendation from King Kilvar Ruby-Eye at one point.
They maintained a great deal of secrecy but were eventually found and targeted viciously by the Creed. Over the course of five years, most of their eight members died, in various monster attacks, assassinations, and battles. By the time they retired upon the war's end, their membership had seen complete turnover, with the only surviving member from the early days being Ezryd.
