Carradine the Fighter

Summary

The minor races of the Elflands hold a godlike reverence for Carradine, a gnomish fighter in the Elflands army from the Rakkan-Elflands War of the 740’s. While Elflands forces abandoned most of the northern empire to defend Kassadeia, Carradine led a ragtag band of 23 fighters to defend Fort Orkney in the gnomish countryside of Galway in 746. They were defeated by a Tiefling army that numbered in the tens of thousands, but they held their ground for close to three weeks. The Fort was overrun and the entire garrison slaughtered, but those three weeks gave the Elflands government enough time to reorganize its forces and push back the Tiefling armies. Some say that Carradine did more to fight for the freedom of the minor races in three weeks than anything the elves have done in over a thousand years.
