Cinemalogue

A magical device capable of recording moving images. First constructed in the 1st Cycle during the age of the Dragon God-Kings, the cinemalogue was powered by divine magic to play sermons delivered by the God-Kings. During the 2nd Cycle the archmages of Old Myltev created vesions capable of running on arcane magic, permitting their use for making stories to entertain the people under the empire's rule. 
The technology was assumed lost after the Ostry Apocalypse, the Elflands Empire condemning the cinemalogue as an 'example of Myltevian hubris'. Researchers at Chusei University have confirmed that a functional cinemalogue exists at the dojos in the Way of the Range, used to film their annual martial arts tournaments. Efforts to replicate the technology have been slow, with Chusei reluctant to invite artificers from Rakka and Gameth to help with their research.
