CoS Session 16: Fairouz the Undying

• Later that night Nikolaj and Aldo try and steal a piece of lunarite from Kanara's national museum
• The piece of moon rock is real valuable for Assaj and the Handgun
• Aldo gets drunk, Nikolaj scopes out the museum
• Only a couple of guards are patrolling at night
• The heist
• Nikolaj tries sneaking up nearby building to jump onto museum roof
• He climbs up building, but he fails jump and takes a good bit of falling damage
• Aldo distracts guard, gets them to leave post while he sneaks inside
• Nikolaj climbs up museum’s back wall to sneak into 3rd floor
• Inside the museum
• Lots of displays showing Avicenna’s history of mining and innovation
• Aldo sneaks up to 3rd floor undetected
• Nikolaj steals a whole bunch of jewels as well
• When Nikolaj takes lunarite, Fairouz the Undying appears
• Fairouz is still pissed about the party killing her husband, Darwish
• She warns them about the Court’s plans for Kanara, summons a horde of spiders to fight Aldo and Nikolaj
• Aldo lands some good hits, but the spider horde is too strong
• Nikolaj passes out after several venomous attacks
• Aldo grabs Nikolaj, scoops up lunarite and barrels out of window
• He gets to the other building, but the landing isn’t that graceful
• After a couple of well-done stealth rolls, they sneak back to Ambassador Hoeven’s place
• At Hoeven’s place
• The city’s on edge with Fairouz’s spider horde overrunning the museum
• Hoeven’s displeased by Aldo stealing the lunarite, buts lets them sleep
• Mid-afternoon the next day, fully healed
• Hoeven’s back from the negotiations
• He had to cover for Aldo and Nikoalaj at the talks, and the negotiations didn’t go far
• Boua’s even more adament about position on collaborating with Court members after the attack
• He lets them go, but he is concerned about Aldo’s decisions
• Nikolaj and Aldo go to The Handgun’s base at Kanara’s docks
• There are lynch mobs looking for mages, but they get there safe
• A guy named Gerald fences lunarite for them, gives them 275GP each
• Nikolaj also gets 400GP for all the stolen jewels
• Nikolaj will get a new knife made from some of the lunarite
• Aldo will get a necklace crafted for Gen. Boua
• That evening Aldo and Boua have dinner together
• Their relationship’s still going well, even with all the day’s events
• Boua hates the Court of the Undying's influence on the world, wants all magic purged
• Aldo’s too blinded by love to care
• Nikolaj sleeps off injuries, wakes up to see Rexfur rifling through his bags
• The god of thieves and kings took 1,000GP to renovate his own temple in Gameria
• Rexfur’s thankful for Nikolaj’s help, warns him against Court’s activity
• He gives Nikolaj a token that lets him ask Rexfur any one question
